Yulia Pavlova (b. 1985, Tatarstan, Russia) is an artist, curator, and educator whose practice operates at the intersection of photography, video, collage, and installation. Her projects combine personal experience with historical material and a critical examination of cultural and social processes. A significant aspect of her work is the photobook, which she approaches as an independent artistic medium and form of expression.

In 2024–2025, Yulia conceived and led two research laboratories for artists in collaboration with the cultural platform Debarkader-30 (Naberezhnye Chelny) and the Nevskaya Zastava Museum (St. Petersburg). These laboratories focused on the methodology of artistic research, as well as themes of memory and place. The projects culminated in exhibitions curated by Yulia.

Yulia’s work has been exhibited at the Russian Museum and the Ploshchad Mira Museum Center in Krasnoyarsk. Her works are held in public and private collections in Russia and abroad, including the Garage Museum, as well as collections in the United States, Canada, France, and Portugal. She has participated in major art fairs, including COSMOSCOW (2025), CATALOG (2024), and 1703 (2024), and is a resident artist of PENNLAB Gallery.

Her work has also been exhibited at Somerset House in London as part of the Sony World Photography Awards. She was shortlisted for the International Photography Grant and received a special distinction in the international photobook competition Encontro da Imagem.
